Google Huat Pals 2024: How to win Pixel 8 Pro and $88.88 cash

What happened?

This Lunar New Year, Google Pay is back with its social game Huat Pals, featuring five new Huat Pals!  

The five Huat Pals–Xixi Haha, Ah Bong, Macho Meow, Hop Pop and Souper Loong–can be collected just by performing some easy tasks, allowing you to win prizes such as a Google Pixel 8 Pro and a scatch card worth up to S$88.88.

Huat Pals 2024 runs from 6 February till 18 February this year.

What you need to do to win prizes with Huat Pals on Google Pay

From now till 18 February 2024, you can complete these tasks to collect Huat Pals:

• Make eligible transactions above $5 at merchants via PayNow QR (business)/PayNow to UEN/FavePay QR (after any FavePay cashback is applied)
• Spend a minimum of S$5 on movie tickets via the Google Pay app
• Send a minimum of S$10 to a friend who is also a Google Pay user
• Gift a Huat Pal to a friend and receive one bonus Pal per unique friend you gift (maximum 5 per day)

Each time the task is completed, users will be awarded Huat Pals.

Once all five Huat Pals are collected, you gain entry into the lucky draw, where you will stand a chance to win one of these prizes:

• A scratch card (worth up to $88.88)
• A Pixel 8 Pro (worth up to S$1,549)
• A Pixel 8 (worth up to S$1,099)
• A pair of Pixel Buds Pro (worth up to S$299)
• A pair of Pixel Buds A-Series (worth up to S$149)

How else can I earn rewards from Huat Pals?

Huat Scanner

Look out for the Huat Scanner that will appear randomly throughout the day. When the Huat Scanner appears, use your Google Pay app to scan items that you will come across during house visits – oranges and paper lanterns with Huat Scanner to earn special vouchers from local partners like Shopee, or a Huat Pal.

Huat Trivia

Look out for the Huat Trivia that will also appear randomly throughout the day. Answer the Lunar New Year-related questions to earn additional rewards from participating merchants like Fairprice and Sephora.

Huat Match

Huat Match is a newly added in-app game that allows you to earn points to win a Huat Pal. Simply match as many auspicious icons as possible within a limited number of moves and score above 450 points to get a Huat Pal.
