Company Description
The Company was incorporated in Singapore on 17 January 2001 as a public
limited company under the name Norelco Centreline Hldgs Ltd. The Group was
created in 2004 via the merger between Norelco Centreline and UMS
Semiconductor.
The UMS Group engages in critical manufacturing of high precision components,
and complex electromechanical assembly and final testing, serving the
semiconductor equipment manufacturers, aerospace and oil field precision
component manufacturers and other industries. These precision components and
equipment are mainly for the hard disk drive manufacturers, semiconductor
equipment manufacturers and other industries in the pharmaceutical, electronic,
machine tools, etc
It has also launched into the aerospace and oil and gas sectors to capture the
higher value added manufactured components capitalising on its core
competencies in precision machining. The Group has attracted reputable fund
management firms such as Arisaig and Barings to take substantial stakes in the
Company.
Headquartered in Singapore, the Group has production facilities in Singapore,
Malaysia and China as well as offices in Fremont and Austin, USA.
