Why our Model Portfolio is tilted towards growth, but still includes income stocks

• Our current Model Portfolio reflects the opportunities we see in the market today. As of 31 August, 88.0% of the portfolio was invested in stocks identified through our growth and Opportunity screening process, while 9.1% was in CICT, which we assess primarily through our income framework. 
• This is not a fixed growth-income allocation. The mix starts with Stage 1 of our investment process, where the macro and industry environment determines the types of opportunities we want to look for.
• Today, we continue to see earnings opportunities in areas such as AI infrastructure, data centres and Singapore infrastructure spending. Elevated bond yields, meanwhile, have raised the hurdle for adding more REIT and income exposure.
• Stage 2 and Stage 3 help us identify which stocks can best capture those opportunities. Stage 4 then decides which of those stocks belong together and how much capital each should receive.
• CICT shows why this portfolio approach matters. Its role is primarily income and resilience, providing a different source of return alongside our more growth-oriented positions. If the environment becomes more supportive of income assets, or the portfolio becomes too dependent on growth, we could increase that exposure.
